HERMON – Herbert C. Sewell, 76, died Oct. 1, 2005, at a Bangor hospital after a short battle with Leukemia. He was born Jan. 10, 1929, in Perham, the son of Manzer and Pauline (Faulkner) Sewell. Herbert was a Korean War veteran serving in the U. S. Air Force. He married Flora (Bragg) July 26, 1952, in Exeter. For more than 40 years Herb was employed as a truck driver, 38 of those years he was employed by St. Johnsbury Trucking out of the Bangor terminal. Herb and Flora enjoyed touring around the state on their motorcycle and they both enjoyed ATV riding. He was a member of Central Maine Trailblazers of Corinna and a member of Airline Riders ATV Clubs. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Flora Sewell of Hermon; one brother, Roger Sewell and his wife, Carolyn, of Inverness, Fla.; two sisters, Carrie French of Brunswick and Inez MacKinnon and her husband, Ralph, of Inverness, Fla.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, two infant children, Pamela Jean and Sheldon Brent; and also a sister, Priscilla. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Etna.
