ELLSWORTH – Herbert Decker, 84, died at his home in Ellsworth, May 19, 2004. He was born in LaGrange, the son of Clarence Leslie and Madeline Marion Decker. Herbert served in the U.S. Navy, worked for 32 years at Eastern Fine Paper in Brewer, loved his vegetable garden and was a great wrestling fan. He is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Sawyer of Ellsworth, Cynthia Skidgell and her husband, John, of Holden; a son, Bruce Sheldon Decker of Gouldsboro; five grandchildren, Melissa, Kimberly, Nathan, Marie and Bruce Jr.; five great-grandchildren; brothers, William Boyce, Ed Boyce and Raymond Boyce. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Decker; a son, Clinton; and a daughter, Judith Ann. Friends are invited to call, 5-7 p.m. May 21, 2004, at the Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where funeral services will be held 4 p.m. May 22, 2004. Interment will be at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth.
