HUDSON – Herbert Linwood Halloran, our very sweet 17 year old boy, passed away May 24, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. Herbert was born Jan. 25, 1990, in Bangor, and has two sets of parents. Alfred “Da” and Linda “Nanny” Halloran of Hudson, and Synette and Robert Dorr of Hudson. Herbert enjoyed and loved his four-wheeler and would go as fast as he could. He was an avid Playstation 2 player. He loved to go camping at Jo-Mary Lake Campground and looking for moose and campfire wood. He loved to go fishing while camping at Moosehead with Momma and Daddy Bob. Herbert loved to ride in Ronnie Grant’s antique fire truck. Herbert attended schools at UCP Center of Bangor, Kenduskeag Elementary and Hudson Elementary, where he had a special teacher, Mrs. Wood. He also attended the Old Town Regional Program and Central Middle School. He was also in the Special Olympics this year. Herbert’s most special thing to do was go into the garage with “Da.” Herbert has one uncle, Alfred Halloran Jr. and wife, Karen, of Hudson; and two cousins, Alicia and Brady. Herbert has one special set of grandparents, Wendell “Boo-Boo” and Tickey “Nanny” Thayer of Hudson; his other grandmother, Rose Gulliver of Greenbush, one great-grand-father, Bud Halloran of Ells-worth. Herbert has several aunts, uncles, many other cousins and several good friends, including his special buddy, Mark Hier of Corinna. He was loved very much by all of us and is going to be missed more than words can say. But now he is gone to heaven, to be with Nanny and Grampy Thayer, Gram Luenett and Grampy Terry and one great-great-grandma Fidelia, who are now going to take care of him for us until we can get there to be with him again. He is our very special little boy, who loved everyone. Visiting hours are 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Foley Funeral Services, 299 Union St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Stephen Hall of Harvest Chapel of Levant Village officiating. Burial will be at Hudson Village Cemetery. After the services, there will be a gathering at Linda and Alfred’s home, 267 Hudson Hill Road, Hudson. Herbert’s family wishes to thank all of the wonderful nurses and doctors at Eastern Maine Medical Center 8th Floor NICU for their beautiful attentive loving care of Herbert and for all their support to the family. Also special thanks to Billy Grant and the Hudson Fire Department and the Maine Air National Guard.
