BANGOR – Hilda Viola Meservey, 77, died Feb. 19, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Oct. 19, 1927, in Rockwood, the daughter of Joseph and Ruth (Johnston) King. Hilda did housekeeping and was a caregiver throughout her life. She is survived by three sons, Bruce Meservey of Catskill, N.Y., Mark Meservey of San Antonio, Texas, Timothy Meservey of Catskill, N.Y.; a daughter, Valli Jaronsik of Catskill, N.Y.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at Memorial Alternatives, 1225 Broadway, Bangor, with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of the Hermon Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Greenville Cemetery, Greenville.
