MATTAWAMKEAG – Hildred E. Grant, 100, wife of the late Carl Grant, went to be with her Lord, Sept. 15, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1907, in Moro, the daughter of George and Agnes (Kennedy) MacIntosh. Hildred was one of the best wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law. Her very special thing to do was to plant her flowers and tend them through the summer, and knitting mittens for her grandchildren. She was very good at spoiling her grandchildren, whom she loved very much. She is survived by her son, Hartley Grant and his wife, Earlene; daughter-in-law, Erma Grant; grandchildren, Elaine and her husband, Gerald Craig, Roberta and her husband, John Cole, Sharon and her husband, James Gagnon, Hartley Grant Jr. and his wife, Edie, and Joey Grant and his wife, Melissa; 13 great-grand-children, 12 great-great-grand-children, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Carl, she was predeceased by daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Harold Glidden; son, Aldana; two grandsons, Donny and John Glidden; and a great-grandson, Justin Craig. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
