SEAL HARBOR – Hortense G. “Tee” Abbott, 64, passed away July 3, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born July 19, 1941, in Bar Harbor, the daughter of Pearl M. and Avis P. (Whitten) Grindle. Tee was a graduate of Mount Desert Island High School, Class of 1959. She owned and operated First Express Packing & Shipping in Bar Harbor for 17 years. Tee was an avid and loyal University of Maine hockey fan; she was a season ticket holder and a member of the Black Bear Club. She was also a loyal supporter of local sports events. Tee was an avid reader, she loved her birds, but most of all she loved her family. Tee is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Artie of Seal Harbor; daughter, Michele Croan and husband, Charlie, of Seal Harbor; sisters, Onalee Fritz of Atlanta, Ga. and Susan J. Grindle of Seal Harbor; sister-in-law, Janice Collucci; grandson, Chuck Croan and wife, Kris, of Seal Harbor; one great-grandson, Kody Croan, with whom Tee loved playing video games; one uncle, Hal Whitten of Toronto, Ontario; mother-in-law, Grace Abbott of Bar Harbor; special nieces, Kelley Williams, Christine Morrison and Wendy Fritz; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at the Seal Harbor Cemetery, Seal Harbor. Contributions may be made in Tee’s memory to Pediatric Oncology, Healthcare Charities, P.O.
