SULLIVAN – Howard “Tomcat” Forrest Gordon Sr., 78, died June 15, 2008, in Sullivan. He was born June 25, 1929, in Sullivan, the son of Irving W. and Jennie (Dunbar) Gordon. He loved his cruises and his lobster fishing. Howard spent 69 happy years lobster fishing on Taunton River and Frenchman’s Bay, and he leaves behind many fishing friends. The love of his life was his seven dogs, Miss O, Tellie, Titus, Wheezee, Love Bug, Dagwood and Cinabun. Howard is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Helen D. Gordon; two sons, Irving Russell Gordon and his fianc?e, Tina Dorr, of Blue Hill and Howard F. Gordon Jr. and wife, Mary, of East Holden; two daughters, Ramona Meredith Wade and husband, David, of Bucksport and Colleen Bradstreet of Gouldsboro; nine grandchildren, Jared, Kimberly, Chad, Monique, David, Robert, Deborah, Erik and Keven; eight great-grandchildren; one bro-ther, Russell Gordon of Winter Harbor, special niece, Gloria Lindsey and her son, Jeff and daughter, Bonnie; three nieces, Judy, Nancy and Sharon; and nephews, Peter, Rexford, Glenn and Corey.
