MILLINOCKET and BANGOR Hugh Kane Theriault, 53, died Monday, March 17, 2008, from injuries he sustained in a car accident. He was born April 11, 1954, in Quebec City, the son of Bernard and Minerva (Kane) Theriault, both now deceased. Hugh graduated from Stearns Highs School in 1972 and the University of Maine in 1974. After graduation, he worked for several years as a waterfront director at a summer camp. He worked at Great Northern Paper Co. for 27 years, until his retirement in 1992. Hugh enjoyed travelling, and also had a love of great food and was, himself, an excellent cook. He is survived by his brother, Frank Theriault of Millinocket; his sister, Joan Hazlette and her husband, Michael, of Epsom, N.H.; two nephews, Brian and Patrick; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Hugh will also be missed by a very special friend, Joyce LaBier. Friends are invited to visit with the family 7-9 p.m. Monday, March 24, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 112 Maine Ave., Millinocket.
