SURRY – Inez Evelyn Frost, 98, died peacefully, with her daughter and great-granddaughter by her side, at an Ellsworth healthcare facility. She was born April 2, 1906, in Alexander, the daughter of Robert and Alice (Beaney) Lehan. Inez was a past member of the Surry Methodist Church. She had also been active for 75 years in the Arbutus Grange No. 456 of Surry. She had held several offices and served as chaplain for many years, was an avid knitter and enjoyed being with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Altina “Tina” Salzarulo, of Surry; a son-in-law, Leonard Krogh Sr. of East Gramby, Conn.; eight grandchildren, Douglas and Dane Salzarulo, Leonard Krogh Jr., Lucinda “Cindy” Clark, Lori Melanson, Larry and Lyndon Krogh and Lynda Martin; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Justin M. Frost in 1981; a daughter, Lorraine Krogh in 1990; and by two sisters. Friends are invited to call from 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at the Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24. Interment will be at Northbend Cemetery, Surry. Those who desire may make contributions in Inez’s memory to the Arbutus Grange No. 456, P.O.
