WOODSTOCK, New Brunswick – Friends through out the community will be saddened to learn of the passing of Inez Villa (Sharpe) DeLong Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at Carleton Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 27, 1913, the daughter of the late Frank and Alma (Melvin) Sharpe. Inez grew up on the family farm in Jacksonville, New Brunswick, where she attended school and went to church on a regular basis. Inez was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Winship and husband, Robert, of Hodgdon; son, Ronald DeLong and wife, Linda, of Stoney Creek, Ontario; five grandchildren, Peter and David Winship, and Kenneth, Steven and Richard DeLong; five great-grandchildren, two great-stepgrandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert; and her siblings. Visitation will be held 7:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Carlton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville, New Brunswick. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Carleton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Cousins officiating. Interment will be at Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
