HOWLAND – Irene A. Chamberlain, 72, passed away July 2, 2008, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Jan. 16, 1936, in Howland, the daughter of John and Ruby (Parker) Batchelder. She is survived by her husband, Robert Chamberlain of Howland; two daughters, Vickie and David Neal of Enfield and Darlene Carey of Brewer; two grandsons, Jeremy and Nicole Neal of Center Barnstead, N.H., and Jesse Carey of Brewer; a sister, Jean York of Howland; two brothers, Paul and Reta Batchelder of Norridgewock and David and Debbie Batchelder of Quinton, Va., several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a special and dear friend, Flo Dudley of Howland. In addition to her mom and dad, she was predeceased by a sister, Alice Wickett; a brother, Earl Batchelder of Norway; and a special grandson, Jacob D. Neal.
