VAN BUREN – Irene Thibodeau, 97, wife of the late Donat J. Thibodeau, died July 11, 2005, at a Caribou healthcare facility. She was born May 31, 1908, in Grande Isle, the daughter of Edmund and Agnes (Cyr) Corbin. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Norman and Jean Thibodeau of Van Buren, and Frank and Rebecca Thibodeau of Presque Isle; four grandchildren, Norman and Mark Thibodeau of Van Buren, Michelle Collins and Scott Thibodeau of Presque Isle; four great-grandchildren; two brothers and their wives, Emery and Gertrude Corbin of Waterville, and Paul and Barbara Corbin of Hudson, N.H.; two sisters, Patricia Pelletier and Joan Corbin of East Windsor, Conn.; two sisters-in-law, Germaine Corbin of Winslow and Rachel Corbin of Cromwell, Conn.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donat Thibodeau in 1978; seven brothers, William, Leo, Louis, Claude, Armand, Adrian, and Conrad; and three sisters, Sr. Edwina Corbin, Bernice Fournier, and Dora Grivois. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. until times of service Wednesday. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will be in the parish cemetery.
