BELFAST – Irene J. Koehler 79, died Sept. 12, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 25, 1925, in Camden, N.J., the daughter of William and Gertrude (Moeller) House. Mom summered in Bayside until 1981 at which time she became a permanent Maine resident. Mom enjoyed camping, knitting, crocheting, reading, making friends, spending time with family; especially the grandchildren. She also enjoyed church suppers and Bayside gatherings during the summer. She attended Faith Bible Church of God. Irene was the beloved mother of Mary Jane Koehler and Michael Wilson of Searsmont, Bill and Nancy Koehler of Clementon, N.J., Nancy and Gary Lydic of San Antonio, Texas, Stephen Koehler of Massachussetts; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, sister, Joan and David Frantz, Nancy and Edward Stoume, of Villas, N.J., Connie and Gilbert Lopez of San Diego, Calif.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. She will be missed by Alisha. Irene was predeceased by her loving husband, William A. Koehler in May, 1985. A Memorial will be held in the summer of 2005 at the convenience of the family.
