LINCOLN – Irma Ruth (Kimball) Knights passed away May 19, 2007, surrounded by her family at Penobscot Valley Hospital. Irma was born April 29, 1930, in Millinocket, the daughter of the late Harold and Alice (Powers) Kimball. Irma attended school in Brewer, South Lincoln and Lincoln. Irma was married to Lewis Knights, November 1952, and celebrated their golden anniversary, November 2002. Before her retirement, Irma worked for many years at Sampson’s Supermarket, Fleming Street, Lincoln. She was a member of the Lincoln Methodist Church and the South Lincoln Women’s Progressive Club. Irma enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time at home with family and friends stopping by to visit. Irma was predeceased by her husband, Lewis, who she cared for in his final years. She is survived by her brother, Robert Kimball of Skandia, Mich.; her six children, Harold Audibert and June, Bill and Betsy Audibert, Chet and Sandra Knights, Nadine and Tom Hunter, Cheryl and Terry Maschino and Mike and Deborah Knights. She will be fondly remembered by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. June 2, at Lincoln Cemetery, Park Street, Lincoln.
