ORRINGTON and BREWER – Jacqueline “Jackie” M. (Kelly) Doughty, 42, died Aug. 21, 2005, at Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. She was born July 5, 1963, in Bangor, the daughter of Gerald and Mary Teresa (Gallant) Kelly. Jackie graduated from Brewer High School in 1981, and then worked for Morrill’s Variety until 1991. She has worked for Dead River Company, from 1991 until the present time, with the employees there becoming her “second family”. A big part of her life was dedicated to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, which she served as a committee member and loved them all as well as a care-giver to all. She is survived by her parents, Gerald and Mary Teresa (Gallant) Kelly of Brewer; her loving husband, Stephen Doughty of Orrington; step-daughter and husband, Shanna and John O’Brien of Hudson; her sister and husband, Cindy and Bob Garside; and brother, Gerald Kelly and fianc?e, Jessica Smith, all of Orrington; brother-in-law, Robert Sekera of Eddington; four nieces and nephews, Joshua and Lauren Garside, Parker Kelly, and Robbie Batron. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Jo Sekera. Friends may call 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 425 South Main St., Brewer with the Rev. Joel Cyr, Pastor, Celebrant. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Parish Hall immediately following the service. Private interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
