LIMESTONE – James A. West Sr., 53, died, April 18, 2005, at Bangor, following a long illness and fought for life for 20 years. He was born Jan. 22, 1952, at Fort Fairfield, the son of Tom and Mary (Bell) West. He was a graduate of the Limestone High School, Class of 1971. James was employed at Loring Air Force Base as a vehicle operator for several years and was a past member of the Limestone Rotary Club. He married Katherine “Candy” (Berube) West on July 4, 1974. Surviving in addition to his wife of Limestone; are one son and daughter-in-law, James and Sherry West Jr. of Van Buren; one daughter and son-in-law, Jaime and Karl Henderson of Limestone; one very special grandchild, Austin James West; very special mother-in-law and father-in-law, Guy and Juanita Berube of Limestone; his brother and sisters-in-law, Donna and Ulyesses Bernier of Caswell, Pat Berube of Lisbon Falls, Terry and Chris Berube of Limestone and Judy Stoudt of Virginia; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2005, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, with the Fr. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
