PROSPECT – James H. Gerow, 48, passed away Oct. 11, 2006. He was born March 15, 1958, in Bangor, the son of George F. Gerow Sr. and Beatrice (Butler) Gerow. Jim was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Monroe Lodge No. 136 and the Loyal Rebekah Lodge No. 92, Monroe. Jim was elected and installed as noble grand for the 2006-2007 term of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Monroe Lodge No. 136. James enjoyed his lodges and the relationships he established through the lodges. He also enjoyed visiting with his close family, especially on the holidays. His greatest passion and love was for playing Beano; he played around the area in Monroe and Belfast and also helped groups in their fundraising efforts with setting up and moving the Beano equipment for their games. Jim is survived by his brothers and sisters, George F. Gerow Jr. “Fred” and his wife, Linda, of Charleston, Linda Gerow, of Bangor, Shirley Brassbridge and her husband, Roger, of Frankfort and Frank Gerow and his wife, Ellen, of Jupiter, Fla.; his nieces and nephews, Roger Jr. “Bobo,” Twyler and May, Scott, Richard, Shawn and Charles; and aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Robin Gerow. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Pilgrim’s Home Cemetery, Monroe. A time of visitation will be noon-12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ham-pden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden.
