ORRINGTON – James M. Kimball relinquished the gift of life on his birthday, Nov. 30, 2007. He was born Nov. 30, 1949, in Bangor, to Wilfred M. and Barbara (Merrill) Kimball. Upon graduation from Bre-wer High School, he enrolled at the University of Maine, where he graduated with distinction. His active working life was spent in the banking industry, before the onset of chronic disease. For many years, in various capacities, he volunteered his time at St. Joseph Hospital and East Orrington Congregational Church. He was predeceased by his father in 1987. He is survived by his mother; wife, Ruth; daughter, Lisa of Westbrook; son, William and Tanya; grandsons, Cody and Nathan of Ellsworth; stepdaughter, Angela and Tommy of Seattle; brother, John and Priscilla of Holden; sister, Janet of Bre-wer; brother-in-law, Tab Davis and family of Robbinston; sister-in-law, Ruby Johnson and family of Calais; several cousins; and an aunt, Jacqueline Kimball of Sangerville. A celebration of his life will be held noon Wednesday, Dec. 5, at East Orrington Congregational Church. Fellowship and refreshments will be after the service. Committal services will be private.
