CARIBOU and FORT FAIRFIELD – James Michaud Jr., 20, died unexpectedly Nov. 17, 2007, in Presque Isle, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born Nov. 27, 1986, in Caribou, the son of James and Karen (Hooey) Michaud Sr. He was employed with Bouchard Farms, Caribou. Jim was a volunteer firefighter for the town of Fort Fairfield and a past member of North Star Search and Rescue. He was an avid racecar fan, racing 86 at Spud Speedway this summer. He married Kristy (McEwen) Michaud, June 16, 2006. Surviving, in addition to his wife of Fort Fairfield and his parents of Caribou, are three daughters, Sierra, Stephanie and Riley Michaud, all of Fort Fairfield; a sister, Kyra Joe Michaud of Caribou; his maternal grandfather, Raymond Hooey Sr.; and his stepgrandmother, Gladys Hooey of Caribou; foster grandparents, Jeffrey and Ozline Fisher of Cari-bou; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Delia (Michaud) Pelletier; and his maternal grandmother, Martina (Lagassie) Hooey. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at the funeral home with Pastor Darren Bonville officiating. Interment will take place at New Holy Rosary Cemetery.
