FAIRFIELD and HAMPDEN – James Veneziano, 90, died Sunday, May 15, 2005, at Orono Commons Healthcare Facility, Orono. He was born July 7, 1914, in Madison, the son of Michael and Theresa (DeRenzo) Veneziano. James was educated in Madison schools. He lived in Hampden for two years after living many years in Fairfield, where he managed the State Liquor Store. His beloved wife, Evelyn (Godin) Veneziano; a son, David James Veneziano; a brother, Frank Veneziano; sisters, Lucy Preble and her husband, Norris, Flora Bonang and her husband, Philip, Leona Morin and her husband, Claude; two brothers-in-law, Irving Fogg, and Dr. Eli J. Darveau; and a sister-in-law, Mariette Veneziano predeceased him. He is survived by a son, Donald Veneziano and his wife, Maureen, of Hampden; six grandchildren, Diane Mariano and her husband, James, of Hanover, Mass., Steven Veneziano and his wife, Lisa, of Hampden, Brian Veneziano and his fianc?e, Jodi Hersey of Hampden, Jill MacDonald and her husband, Eric, of Hampden, Jody Veneziano and her friend, Lisa Duplissis, of Sydney, and James Veneziano of Augusta; five great-grand-children, Stefanie and Michael Veneziano of Hampden, Tyler and Lauren MacDonald of Hampden, and William Cole Mariano of Hanover, Mass.; brothers, George Veneziano of Madison, Julio Veneziano and his wife, Dorothy, of Madison; a sister, Clementine Fogg of Madison; sisters-in-law; Bernice Veneziano of Dearborn Heights, Mich., and Doris Darveau of Madison, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visiting hours will be held 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, May 20, at Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple St., Madison, immediately followed by an 11 a.m. celebration of Mass by Father Robert Vaillancourt at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Madison. Interment will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery in Madison.
