MT. CHASE and SEWELL, N.J. – James W. “Mort” Parker Sr. died April 22, 2005, at Bangor. He was born Nov. 6, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pa. the son of Ellis and Elva(Ritchie)Parker Sr. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara (Jones) Parker of Mt. Chase; three children, Christine Parker of Patten, James Jr. and his wife, Susan Parker, of Patten and Michael Parker of Sewell N.J.; five grandchildren, two brothers, Charles W. Parker of National Park N.J., and Ellis R. Parker Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Rolanna Brown of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Patricia Carroll of Gastonia, N.C.; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls. A time of fellowship will be held following the service at the Patten Rec. Dept.
