LINCOLN – Jane L. Thurlow, 86, died June 7, 2007, at a Lincoln nursing home. She was born June 25, 1920, in Bangor, the daughter of George and Bertina (MacKinnon) Lowell. She was a lifelong and active member of the United Methodist Church of Lincoln and volunteered at the Humane Society, Lincoln. She was also a member of the Grange and the Farm Bureau. She is survived by two sons, Lowell Thurlow and his wife, Suzanne, of Bath and Richard Thurlow and his wife, Glennis, of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Jalbert and David Thurlow; three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Thurlow; four siblings, Herbert Lowell, Robert Lowell, Phyllis Muse and Shirley Uelze. Graveside services will be announced at a later date. Jane’s family thanks the entire staff at Colonial Healthcare for their compassionate care. Donations may be made to the Penobscot Valley Humane Society or the activities fund at Colonial Healthcare.
