PETOSKEY, MICH. – Jane Lynn Tweedie, 61, of Birch Shores, Trout Lake died unexpectedly, Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 3, 2004, at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. She was born Jan. 22, 1943, in Brewer, the daughter of Frank and Nathlene (Page) Winchell. She graduated from high school, and on May 12, 1961, she married Walter Tweedie in Castine. They made their home near Bangor until 1965, and moved to Fenton, Mich., living there until 1994, and moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, 28 miles north of Mackinac Bridge. She worked for the Deli in Fenton, and was a chef and the “cheese lady” because of her specialties. She enjoyed her friends and especially her family. She was active in the Trout Lake Ladies group. She is survived by her husband, Walter; three sons, Dale (Cherie) of Alton, Ill., Paul (Michelle) of Fenton, Jarrett (Debbie) of Port Huron; one brother, Frank (Helen) Winchell of Bangor; four sisters, Kathleen (Floyd) Lenfest of Carmel; Louise (Edward) Nedeau of Orono, Gerrie (Joe) Ferguson of Burton, S.C., Jackie (Micky) Andrews of Brewer; nine grandchildren, Jason, Antionette, Matthew, Jessica, Erin, Benjamin, Samuel, Thomas and Christian. She also leaves a very special dog, Sassy and many special friends. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Walter Sutton in 2000. She enjoyed her friends and her family. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at Dodson Funeral Home, St. Ignace. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time. The Rev. James Balfour of the St. Ignace United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the spring, after cremation, in Lakeview Cemetery, Trout Lake.
