BREWER – Jane M. Goodwin, 70, died April 29, 2008, surrounded by her family at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 9, 1938, in Millinocket, the daughter of Miles and Julia (Wilson) Mahan. Jane had a 50-year association with Husson College as a student, faculty member and director of admissions. She was an avid bridge player, a life master of the ACBL, and leaves behind many beloved bridge partners and friends. Jane was a wonderful cook, enjoyed her family, travel and especially spending time with her granddaughter, Eden, swimming and shopping. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 plus years, Robert Goodwin of Brewer; three children, Julia Crocker of Bangor, Michael Goodwin and Melissa Smith of Yarmouth, Matthew Goodwin and his wife, Celeste, of Brewer; her sister and husband, Patricia and David Joseph of Ballston Spa, N.Y.; her granddaughter, Eden Goodwin of Brewer; very close friend, Dr. Ann P. Ellis of Eddington; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A service of remembrance will be held at a time and date to be announced.
