ORONO – Janellen Little, 72, died March 7, 2008, at Dirigo Pines Retirement Community. She was born July 30, 1935, in Chicago, the daughter of William and Betty (Day) Wammack. She graduated form Fenger High School, Chicago. She owned and operated Sow’s Ear, a gift shop in Machias, for 25 years and Marley Candles, a gift shop in Mokena, Ill., for 13 years. She was an avid collector of books, antiques, artwork and artifacts of indigenous peoples. She was predeceased by her parents and husband of 45 years, William J. Little. She is survived by her children, Brian William Little and wife, Pat, of Marion, Iowa, and Karla L. Allan and husband, Barry, of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; grandchildren, Michael A. Little of Marion, Iowa, and Lauren E. Little of Oakland, Calif.; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Glenn Henderson of Matteson, Ill.; several nieces and nephews.
