ST. ALBANS, Vt. – Janet Fraser Jager, 69, passed away Thursday, Aug. 31, 2006, at the Haven Health Care Facility. She was born June 9, 1937, in Dexter, the daughter of the late Harold James and Miriam (Jones) Fraser. She was married June 23, 1956, in Newport, to Ronald W. Jager, who survives her. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Ronald of St. Albans, Vt.; two sons, Michael W. Jager and his wife, Giovanna, of Burlington, Vt. and Scott W. Jager and his wife, Susan, of Spring Hill, Fla.; a daughter, Ronna Lee Messier and her husband, James, of Franklin, Vt.; eight grandchildren, a great-son; a sister, Kay Fraser Skibinski of Brunswick; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Fraser of Bangor; a brother-in-law, Wayne Jager and his wife, Dorothy, of Fonda, N.Y. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, at the Trinity Presbyterian Church. Interment will be 11 a.m Tuesday, Sept. 5, in the family lot at St. Albans Bay Cemetery. Janet’s family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, at Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans.
