STAFFORD SPRINGS and ELLINGTON, Conn. – Janice A. (Bakulski) Miller, 70, of Stafford Springs, Conn., and Ocala, Fla., passed away Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, with her family by her side. She was born in Fort Kent, daughter of the late Romeo and Azilda (Pinette) Austin. She retired as co-owner of First America Financial Services. Janice was a member of St. Edward Parish, Queen of Peace Parish, the St. Edward’s Ladies Guild and the Stafford Senior Center. She was an avid ceramic artist and enjoyed antiques. Janice is survived by her loving husband of nine years, Robert K. Miller of Ocala, Fla.; a son, Kenneth S. Bakulski of Meriden, Conn.; three daughters, Kathleen A. Fisher and her husband, Gary, of Stafford Springs, Conn., Pamela J. Furness and her husband, James, of Ellington, Conn., and Susan M. Jellen and her husband, Peter, of Harrisburg, N.C.; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Carin, Scott, Lees and Jennifer; a brother, Dana Austin of Mansfield, Conn.; three sisters, Joan Tuxbury of Silver Springs, Fla., Jean Forman of Chicopee, Mass., and Joyce Austin of Ellington, Conn.; several aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband, Leonard S. Bakulski. The family thanks Dr. Skalski and the staff at Johnson Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care she received throughout the course of her illness. A funeral will be held with a procession forming 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, Conn., with a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. at St. Edward Church, High Street, Stafford Springs, Conn. Burial will be held after in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, Conn. Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
