HODGDON – Jean I. Drake, 84, died June 25, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 16, 1924, in Oakville, New Brunswick, the daughter of Karl and Mildred (Williams) McLellan. Jean was a member of Military Street Baptist Church and a lifelong member of the Rebekahs. She was manager of the S & H Green Stamp store for 30 years and employed by Key Bank. She enjoyed volunteering at Houlton Regional Hospital. Jean is survived by two sons, C. Wayne Drake and his wife, Ruth, and Graydon H. Drake and his wife, Kathy, all of Houlton; one daughter, Gloria R. Folsom and her husband, Bill, of Hodgdon; eight grandchildren, Kimberley Dion and her husband, Ernest, Karla Brewer and her husband, Roger, Erica Soucy and her husband, Dan, Jared Drake and his wife, Morgan, Andrew Drake, Michele Folsom and her fiance, Curt Thibodeau, James Folsom and his wife, Amanda, and Marissa Drake; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald McLellan; one sister, Audrey Thornton, both of Woodstock, New Brunswick; her sister-in-law, Thelma Saucier and her husband, Robert, of Saco; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Hazen G. Drake; her grandson, Samuel Drake; and two sisters, Ruth Guy and Marjorie Burtt. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Military Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Littleton Cemetery.
