BANGOR – Jeannette M. Thomas, wife of 50 years to the late, Charles A. Thomas Jr., died July 23, 2006, surrounded by friends and family that loved her. She was born March 11, 1931, in Bangor, the daughter of the late Alice (Montgomery) and Wallace H. McGlauflin. She attended Catholic Schools in Bangor. One of the best days of her life was Jan. 31, 1950 when she married Charlie Thomas. Together they had their own full house, four kings, boys, and three queens, girls, who all survive Jeannette; Charles A. III and his partner, Tom, of Trenton, N.J., Dana L. and his wife, Mureine, of Virginia, Cheryrl M. and Ted Pleuler of Nashua, N.H., Don L. of Lewiston, JoAnn and her partner, David, of Bradford, Jerry L. and Kathy of Nashua, N.H. and Kathy J. and Bob Anderson of Levant. A special friend, her electronics guru, Jeffrey Crawford, whom without she would never had been able to watch her movies; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; many special nieces, nephews and too many good friends to mention by name also survive her. You all know you were in her heart and she loved you all like her own. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation for the kindness and caring offered to Jeanette by the staff at St. Joseph Hospital, especially the Emergency Dept. and fifth floor Cardiac Unit. You all got to know her too well this past year, but you made us all feel safe with her there. The staff at the Maine Veterans’ Home was also very kind to her and we appreciate all you did for her. At her request, there will be no services. The family will scatter her ashes alongside the place her husbands were scattered, to be together forever in eternity; finally back together mom. We love you and miss you. Arrangements by Foley Funeral Service.
