THERIAULT FORT KENT – Jeannette Michaud Theriault, 84, died Feb. 11, 2006, at a Madawaska healthcare facility. She was born Aug. 19, 1921, in Fort Kent, the daughter of William and Edith (Michaud) Michaud. Jeannette was born in South Perley Brook and went on to raise all her children at the family homestead. She loved her husband, family, neighbors and friends. Jeannette had many talents and enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. She prided herself in keeping a meticulous home and had a knack keeping beautiful houseplants alive, especially African violets. She had a very strong work ethic, always giving 110% to anything she did. After raising her family, she went on to work as a nurse’s aide at Northern Maine Medical Center for 20 years, retiring in 1984. Many remember her as being very quiet and shy, but her strong compassionate side shown through while working with her patients. She will be deeply missed by family neighbors and her acquired family at Highview Manor, where she received exceptional care. Jeannette is survived by her two sons, Fernando Jr. “Pete” and his wife, Cecile, of Terryville, Conn. and Roland and his wife, Bernice, of Plainville Conn.; seven daughters, Rolande Roy of Plainville, Conn., Janis Theriault of Yarmouth, Anita Dionne of Rockyhill, Conn., Pauline Nadeau and her husband, Bertrand, of Clair, N.B., Rena Campagna of Bristol, Conn., Theresa Michaud and her companion, Rejean Levesque, of Grand Falls, N.B. and Christine Chasse and her husband, Dan, of Fort Kent; one brother, Arther “Ching” Michaud; 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jeannette was predeceased by her husband, Fernando; daughter, Mary Jane; two sisters, Annette Gagnon and Altine Theriault; four brothers, Randolph, Alcide, Albert and Leo “Oda”. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and noon Wednesday until time of service, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. James Nadeau, officiating. Spring burial will be held May 11, in the parish cemetery.
