GUILFORD – John F. “Jack” Willey Jr., 76, died Sept. 3, 2004, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1927, in Guilford, son of John and Myra (Stuart) Willey Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Stott Flanders American Legion Post, No.165, in Sangerville. He worked at the local woolen Mills and at Hardwood Products Company in Guilford. For many years Jack served as a deputy for the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office and served on the Guilford Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Woodard) Willey of Guilford; three sons and their wives, Jeff and Kathy Willey of Sangerville, Tom and Mary Willey of Guilford, and Chuck and Mary Willey of Dexter; two daughters, Joanne and her husband, Sheldon Leonard of Guilford, and Sandy Willey and her friend, Clint Richards of Guilford; a brother, Rodney Willey of Guilford; a sister, Alice and her husband, Bernard Crabtree of Monson; two half sisters, Rene Hebert of Dexter, and Ruth Rosebush of Brownville; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial in the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford. Those who wish may make donations in his memory to the Guilford Medical Building, P.O.
