OLD TOWN – John H. Flannigan Jr., 65, died peacefully May 29, 2004, surrounded by his family at a Bangor hospital. He was born Oct. 20, 1938, in Old Town, the son of John and Annie (Nickerson) Flannigan. John traveled the world extensively from going to many Olympic Games to visiting Scotland, Ireland, Japan, Russia, and many other places. He enjoyed reading, golf, watching sports and especially spending time with his niece and two nephews. He was a devoted employee of Eastern Maine Medical Center for 38 years. He is lovingly remembered by his three sisters, Carol Flannigan and Jean Flannigan, both of Old Town, Joan and Harry Goss of Winslow; a very dear niece, Amy Charrier and her husband, Jamie, of Florida; two very special nephews, James Goss of Winslow, and Sean Flannigan of Maryland; one great-niece, Averi Lauren Charrier.
