LEVANT and WINDHAM, Conn. – John H. Harris Sr., 64, husband of Mar-ian (Szczygiel) Harris of Wind-ham Center Road, Windham, Conn., died Tuesday morning, Dec. 18, 2007, at home. Born July 21, 1943, in Levant, he was the son of the late Guilford and Bertha (Wilcox) Harris. He was a lineman with Bozrah Light & Power for more than 25 years. John was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of American Legion. Surviving is his wife; three sons, Mark Harris of Texas, Brian Harris of Oregon and John Harris Jr. of Connecticut; a stepson, Joseph Hirschfeld of Connecticut; a stepdaughter, Amy Schroeder of Connecticut; two brothers, Allen Harris of Nevada and Martin Harris of Connecticut; four sisters, Esther Mayhew, Betty York, Linda Weeks and Connie Lawrence, all of Maine; nine grand-children, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Snow. Memorial services were held in Norwich, Conn.
