BANGOR and OLD TOWN -On Dec. 3, 2004, John R. McLeod left on his final journey to be with his heavenly Father. John was a gentleman of the old school in both dress and manners. He loved the outdoors, music, especially singing, which he did often with his beautiful and powerful voice. He loved his Catholic faith. He leaves behind a loving and caring companion of many years, Carroll Robbins; his 10 children, Elizabeth, Mary Ellen, Richard ‘Dick’, Charlotte, Sylvia, Carolyn, William ‘Bill’, Michael, Gail and Priscilla; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of more than 60 years, Margarette Mary (Thompson) McLeod in 1989; and two grandsons, Wayne and Peter Thompson in 1982. A time of remembrance will be held 4-6 p.m. Monday at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer. Please remember him in your prayers. God bless.
