EDDINGTON – John Robert McIntyre, 65, died unexpectedly April 20, 2008. He was born March 26, 1943, in Ellsworth, the son of John S. and Madeline (Mace) McIntyre. John “Pup-Pup” enjoyed many things in his life, but nothing compared to the times spent with his five grandsons, Mathew “Clem,” Aaron “Stillwell,” Eric “Hubert,” Bryan “Farley” and Wyatt “Asile”. He gave each one their nickname. John worked for several area construction companies and was self-employed for many years. He was really proud of his many safe miles driven on Millinocket’s Golden Road. John, Dad, Pup-Pup, friend will be missed by anyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Tania McIntyre; children, Victoria and her husband, Charlie Look, of Augusta, Gregory McIntyre of Eddington, Debra and her husband, John Sucy, of Belgrade; his mother, Madeline Bragdon of Lamoine; his father, Stanley; and stepmother, Barbara McIntyre of Kittery; brothers, Terry Bragdon of Lamoine, Richard McIntyre of Wells, Vincent McIntyre of Kenduskeag and Junior McIntrye of Kittery; sister, Brenda Davis of Alton; several nieces and nephews; and a very special aunt, Margurite Wilbur. John was predeceased by a brother, George McIntyre. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Brookings-Smith Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer.
