EASTON and FORT FAIRFIELD – Joseph S. Nichols, 61, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility. He was born Oct. 21, 1943, at Easton, the son of Clayton and Kathleen (Osser) Nichols. He attended Easton Schools and had been employed by W. M. Junior Trucking, Mars Hill, for several years. Mr. Nichols was predeceased by his parents and is survived by three sons, Joseph K. Nichols and his fianc?e, Tanya Sherwood, both of Cheyenne, Wyo., Jeff A. Nichols of Presque Isle, Justin L. Nichols of Fort Fairfield, and their mother, Linda L. Walker of Fort Fairfield; two brothers, William and Lawrence Nichols, both of Easton; one sister, Christine Garvey of Easton; two grandchildren, Kaylei and Tylor Nichols, both of Cheyenne, Wyo.; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2005, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2005, with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, immediately following the funeral service. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Nichols to the charity or organization of one’s choice.
