JOSEPH W. GREEN ISLAND FALLS – Joseph W. Green, 79, went home to be with our heav-enly father Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, in Bangor. He was born Nov. 25, 1928, in Island Falls, the son of Joseph and Grace (Wright) Green. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Korea. He was a member of the Island Falls VFW and retired from National Starch and Chemical, Island Falls. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, Wayne and Linda Melvin of Patten, Richard Cachran of St. John, New Brunswick, Pat and Sharmaine Cochran of Houlton, Roger and Phyllis McNelly of West Bath, Jeff and Laurie McNelly of Waldoboro and Dale, Edgar and Everett Mc-Nelly, all of West Bath. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Georgie Green; and two sisters, Helen McNelly and Geneva Cochran. A special thanks to Madigan Home Health Care and the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor, for all of their care. A graveside funeral service will be held and announced in the spring.
