BREWER and GLENBURN Joshua Allen McKay, 16, died accidentally Sept. 25, 2004, in the outdoors that he loved. He was born Sept. 20, 1988, in Bangor the son of Randy McKay and Leisa Cota. Josh was a sophomore at Brewer High School. He enjoyed riding his four wheeler, his car, music, skate boarding, drawing, outdoor sports, and his fish tanks. Josh especially loved hanging out and camping with his friends, being at Green Lake, fishing, being outdoors, and his two dogs “Puppy” and “Lucy” and three cats “Dakota”, “Terra”, and “Tally”. Joshua is survived by his mother and stepfather, Leisa Cota and Jeff Ashey, of Brewer; father and step-mother, Randy and Pam McKay, of Glenburn; step-sister, Chausey Ashey of Brewer; grandparents, Sheila and Allen Cote of Eddington, Gerald and Pauline McKay of Brewer, Jackie Bouchey, of Glenburn, and Garrel Bouchey, of Hermon; aunts and uncles, Sherry Cota of Lucerne, Debbie and Ted Jellison of Brewer, Corrine and Lenny Clark of Eddington, Debbie and Mike McKay of Holden, Cindy Drake of Glenburn, Robin Todino of Glenburn, Cheryl and Dwight Fraser, of South Mills, N.C., David and Mary Bouchey of Glenburn; cousins, Brad, Sarah, Lindsey, Kristin, Meagan, Mathew, T.J, Zachary, Brooke, and Daniel; several very special friends, teachers, and schoolmates. We will all miss Josh’s smile and great outlook on life. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at Brookings-Smith Clark-Piper Chapel 55 South Main St. Brewer where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Adam T. Soderberg, pastor of the East Orrington Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Jonathan Eddy Cemetery, Eddington. Relatives and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments at Jeff’s Catering, East-West Industrial Park, Brewer following the service on Tuesday. Memorial donations in Joshua’s memory may be sent to the Outdoor Education Program C/O Brewer High School Parkway South, Brewer.
