LINCOLN – Joyce Moore, 76, wife of the late Roscoe Moore Jr., died Saturday, June 24, 2006, at Penobscot Valley Hospital. Born July 30, 1929, in Lincoln, she was the daughter of Irene Delano Libby and Otto L. Delano. She had been known as “the fisherwoman of the narrows,” loved to hunt, raised beautiful flowers, was a wonderful cook, painted and was an avid Scrabble player. She will be missed by her son, Roscoe III and his wife, Cathie, of Massena, N.Y.; two grandsons, Roscoe IV of Plattsburgh, N.Y. and 2nd Lt. Andrew Moore of Peterson AFB, Colo.; a sister, Colleen Delano Tuscan of Lincoln; a brother, Alton Libby of Dover-Foxcroft; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Terry; and a brother, Randolph Delano. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Meals for ME, 2 Pleasant St., Lincoln, ME 04457. A graveside memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Lincoln Cemetery, Park Avenue, with Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating.
