MOUNT CHASE – Julia N. (Dunphy) Botting, 87, went to her eternal reward Saturday, May 21, 2005. Julia was born Oct. 17, 1917, in Island Falls, the daughter of Boardman and Hulda Dunphy. Julia was married to Lyman Botting Sr. for 59 years. She was a wonderful mother and the very best of cooks. She will always be remembered for her famous saying “well there” and would talk about her courting days, then she would giggle. Julia is survived by nine children, Lucille and her husband, Matthew, of Corinth, Vernard and his wife, Linda, of Chester, Lyman Jr. and his wife, Marlene, of Mount Chase, Judy and her husband, Harold, of Corinna, Donna and her husband, George, of Lincoln, a son, Calvin of New Hampshire, Fonda and her husband, Ansel, of Medway, Gloria and her husband, Walter, of Monticello, Darlah and her husband, Marty, of Patten; 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; a loving sister, Dola of Winchester, N.H.; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Mount Chase Cemetery.
