CARIBOU – K. Dale Robertson, 74, died unexpectedly Oct. 6, 2005, in Caribou. He was born Sept. 6, 1931, in Caribou, the son of Kenneth O. and Marjorie (McNeal) Robertson. Dale was a graduate of Caribou High School and received his masters degree in education. Known as “Professor” by his grandkids, Dale enjoyed spending time with his wife, Paula and his family. Noted for his quick wit and sense of humor, Dale brought joy and comfort to those around him. He calmed and added peacefulness to any difficult situation. This soft-spoken man organized an annual fishing derby for his family that brought out the strength, love, and playfulness in everyone. He went out of his way to praise and recognize their accomplishments – big or small. Dale was a man of few words and demonstrated his love with action. The Professor wisely advised those he loved. This soft-spoken gentle giant did not miss a trick or an opportunity to share his charm. “Dale, Babe, Professor, Dad” will be deeply missed. Dale was a Korean War veteran and taught in the Caribou School Department for several years before he assumed the responsibility as principal of Teague Park School. After his retirement in 1989, he enjoyed his summers in Caribou and his winters in South Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Paula Robertson and his children, Kenneth Dale Jr. of Atlanta, Ga. and wife, Deborah, Paul of Caribou and wife, Kim, Susan Gerakaris of Stockholm and husband, Andrew, Douglas of Texas, David of Caribou and wife, Lena, and Ann Hart of Goffstown, N.H. and husband, William. The Professor is survived by his grandchildren, Jacob Robertson, Heidi Gagnon, Samuel Robertson, Jason Michaud, Hannah E. Robertson, Isaac Robertson, Danyel Robertson, Hannah Robertson, Axios Gerakaris, Zoe Gerakaris and Zachary Gerakaris. Dale also leaves three brothers, Carroll Robertson and his wife, Carol Ann, of Florida, Bob Robertson and Katsuko of Louisiana and Roland St. Peter and Leona of Caribou. In celebration of his life, Dale’s family will greet friends 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10 at his home at 936 Sweden St., Caribou. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the Caribou High School Athletic Department, Sweden Street, Caribou, in memory of Dale and to honor his passion for sports.
