STUART, Fla. – Karen Maxson, 37, of Stuart, Fla., passed away March 20, 2004. She was born in Fort Kent and has resided in Stuart, Fla., for the past eight years. She had been employed for the past eight years as a registered nurse in the emergency department with Martin Memorial Medical Center, Stuart. She was an avid camper. She was the daughter of Lloyd and the late Doris Paradis. Surviving is her husband, Jeff, of Stuart, Fla.; her two children, Christopher and Shane, both of Stuart, Fla.; two brothers, John Paradis of Fort Kent and Glen Paradis of Reading Mass.; two sisters, Louise Paradis of Bangor and Janice Paradis of Searsport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 noon Saturday, March 27, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Stuart, Fla., with the Rev. Jack Barrow, officiating. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be made to the PKD Foundation, 9221 Ward Parkway, Suite 440, Kansas, MO 64114-3367, in her memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, Stuart, Fla.
