BANGOR – Karl Thurston Bracy, 75, died Feb. 27, 2005, at a Bangor hospital, after a long illness. He was born April 10, 1929, in Bar Harbor, the son of Orris P. and Hildred M. (Bradbury) Bracy. He served his country in the U.S. Army and served in Germany during the Korean War. Karl owned and operated a plumbing business in Bangor for many years. He was well liked by all that knew him and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Ruth (Grant) Bracy; three children, Robert Bracy and his wife, Carol, of Hermon, Michael Bracy, of Bangor, Joan Bracy Smith, of Bangor; three grandchildren, Michael Patrick Dupuis of Oregon, Elaina Bracy, of Bangor, Anthony Dupuis, of Greenbush; a loving sister-in-law, Murial Wescott, of Levant; two brothers, Richmond Bracy of Bangor, Norman Bracy, of North Carolina; two sisters, Judy Brown and her husband, Ray, of Connecticut, Wanda Emerson of Bangor, several nieces and nephews, and will also be great missed by his extended family, Julie and Paul Amoroso and their two children, Camden and Kathryn. At a later date there will be a memorial service.
