CLINTON – Keith A. Bishop, 51, of Clinton passed away unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 10, 2006. Keith was born Aug. 17, 1954, in Skowhegan, the son of Charles and Leona (Libby) Bishop. The family moved to Bucksport a few years later where Keith grew up, joining the Air Force after graduation. After his honorable discharge from the service, he worked with his father until joining the Bucksport Police Department. Keith thoroughly enjoyed law enforcement and continued in the field for 25 years, working also as a private investigator, chief of police in Ashland, Somerset County Sheriff’s Department and Neptune Police Uniforms. After recently deciding to go into business for himself, he opened River Valley Candle & Gifts. Keith was the rock of his family, a wise and strong man who taught us all so much. He was widely respected as a fair, honest man with a human touch and keen sense of humor. He made friends wherever he went and enjoyed telling stories as much as everyone enjoyed hearing them. He also enjoyed hunting at camp in Bethel with “the guys” who meant so much to him. Keith loved to fish, explore the countryside and sing country music. Most of all, he loved his family. Keith was predeceased by his mother, Leona and his brother, Mark. Keith is survived by his loving wife, Cathy; his father, Charles and his wife, Ruth; his daughter, Terri Boulier and her husband, Ken; his sons, Jeffery and his wife, Wendy; Alan and his fiance, Amber; and Rory and his wife, Carolyn; his grandchildren, Kalaa, Aaron, Kory, Georgia, Sydney, Jeff Jr. and Lilly; his brothers, Mathew and his wife, Melinda; Darren and his wife, Richelle; and many nieces and nephews. He will be especially remembered by his mother-in-law, Helen and the rest of the Beaulieu family. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, with words of remembrance being spoken at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield.
