KEITH D. GREENLAW HOULTON – Keith D. Greenlaw, 78, died peacefully March 24, 2005 surrounded by his family at a local hospital. He was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Haynesville, the son of Ransford and Flora (Kennedy) Greenlaw. He attended schools in Oakfield, played baseball on the “Town Team,” and served with the 139th Seabees. He started work for the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad in 1944 and retired 43 years later in 1987. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Jane (Furrow) Greenlaw; four sons, Larry and his wife, Ursula, of Oakfield, Keith Jr. and his wife, Robin, of Winterport, Michael and his wife, Lynn, of Fort Fairfield, and Kenneth of Merrill; two daughters, Kathryn Colfer and her husband, William, of Manchester, Maine, and Michelle (Mitsy) Lee and her husband, Jay, of Smyrna; 11 grandchildren, Aaron and his wife, Jill, of Smyrna, Ryan of Houlton, Suzanne of Oakfield, Morgan of Winterport, Josh Flannery of Shrewsbury, Mass., Leslie of Linneus, Nicholas Alexander of West Gardiner, Emily Colfer of Manchester, Hannah, Madelyn and Isaac Lee of Smyrna; one great-granddaughter, Delaney Rose of Smyrna; three sisters, Helen Palmer of Patten, Marjorie Dyer of Oakfield, and Rebecca and her husband, Norman Simard, of Port Richey, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Irene Greenlaw of Houlton, and Rita Greenlaw of Belfast; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Roger of Searsport, and Dale of Smyrna. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at Bowers Funeral Home, Sherman Street, Island Falls. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, March 27, at Bowers Funeral Home. The Rev. David Tuttle will officiate.
