DANFORTH – Keith Harley Hewey, 42, formerly of Guilford, died June 21, 2006, at a Houlton hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 3, 1963, in Lincoln, the son of Llewellyn “Pete” and Avis (White) Hewey. Keith grew up in Brewer and was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War, where he served as a plane captain. He also worked giving home healthcare, Sears Tire Warehouse and VIP. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and had a great passion about automobiles. Keith is survived by his wife, Linda (Todd) Hewey; six children, Crystal and Melanie Hewey of Bangor, Ricky Coleman and Colie Hewey of Hampden and Seairha Todd and Derek Richardson of Danforth; a granddaughter, Isabel Hewey of Bangor; a brother, Cary Hewey and family of Bridgewater; and sisters, Colleen Bradbury and family of Concord and Jody Holmes and family of Bangor. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Austin Hewey of Bangor; and a brother, Bradley Hewey. The family would like to give special thanks to his family, Pat and Russell Todd and Glen Sporr, to all his caregivers and to the clergy at the hospital. The family would like to invite family and friends to stop by their house at 232 Springfield Rd., Danforth. A full military funeral will be held noon Wednesday, July 5, at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. Donations may be sent to the family.
