MARSHFIELD – Keller Foster Harmon Jr., 92, died Feb. 10, 2006, in Machias. He was born Jan. 16, 1914, in Hadley Lake, East Machias, to Keller F. and Frances H. (Huntley) Harmon. He was in the Coast Guard for 24 years as a boatswain mate. After retirement he settled in Michigan and worked for Tri-City Construction as a bookkeeper. Upon retirement he traveled to Arizona and Florida, finally settling in Marshfield. He enjoyed his summer cottage on Tunk Pond later in life and spent winters in his home in Marshfield. Keller was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Arline; and a beloved son, Richard. He is survived by two sons, Philip and wife, Barbara, of Katy, Texas and Robert and wife, Rebecca, of Grand Haven, Mich.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Howard and his wife, Jeanette; two sisters, Josephine Corbett and her husband, Purcell and Leona Roberts and her husband, Adelbert; 13 sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. There will be an hour of visitation 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 6 Cooper St., Machias followed by a funeral service 3 p.m. officiated by Pastor Betty Palmer. Interment will take place at the Harmon Family Cemetery, Hadley’s Lake. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
