WAKEFIELD, Mass. and MILFORD – Kenneth E. Yelland, 82, died July 20, 2005, at his Milford residence. He was born Jan. 13, 1923, in Somerville, Mass., a son of Edwin and Ethel (Elwell) Yelland. Ken was a wonderful husband, father, and friend and was always available to help out in any way possible or provide some “good” advice. He was a World War II veteran having served with U.S. Army stationed mainly in France during the War. He was a resident of Wakefield, Mass., for 48 years and employed at Boston-Edison Co. for more than 40 years before moving to Milford in 2001. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed the ocean, swimming and golf. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy (Trainor) Yelland; a son, Dr. Kenneth T. Yelland and his wife, Janice, of Wellesley, Mass.; a daughter, Dr. Linda M. Yelland of Milford; close family friend, Kathy McAuliffe of Milford; special caregivers, Lynne Jordan and Melissa Jordan of New England Home Health Care; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William Yelland; and two sisters, Helen Page and Anne Brown.
