MEDWAY – Kenneth N. Bustard, 78, died July 20, 2008, in Houlton. He was born Jan. 30, 1930, in Merrill, the son of Hazen and Effie (Buntley) Bustard. Ken was an avid hunter, fisherman, enjoyed camp, horses and picking berries. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 613, East Millinocket and the National Arbor Day Foundation. Ken was in the Marine Corps League and retired from Great Northern Paper. He is survived by one daughter, Antonia Ingalls and her husband, Stephen, of East Millinocket; one son, Jeffery Bustard of Port Charlotte, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jason Ingalls and his wife, Erica, Carrie Koppang and her husband, Michael, and Amanda Ingalls and her friend, Mark Peavey; four great-grandchildren, Ava, Kylie, Ryan and Cy; a close friend, Mary Farley of Medway; a brother, Carl Bustard and his wife, Fern, of Oakland; four sister, Theresa Morkin of Jacksonville, Fla., Wilma Dwyer and her husband, Virgil, of Oakfield, Ruth Somers and her husband, Spurgeon, of Patten, Gail Thompson and her husband, Freddy, of Caribou; two stepsons, Dennis Casey of Oakfield and Jerry Caron of Merrill, and their children; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Pauline; son, Kerry; and one sister, Dorothy. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with Kenneth H. Bustard officiating. Interment will be at Smyrna Mills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Arbor Day Foundation, 100 Arbor Ave., Nebraska City, NE 68410.
