TREMONT – Kenneth P. Farley, 93, passed away May 22, 2007, at Mount Desert Island Hospital, Bar Harbor. He was born Feb. 21, 1914, in West Tremont, the son of Merle A. and Evelyn (Lunt) Farley. He was in the Civilian Conservation Corps in his younger days and built many carriage roads and worked on the stone bridges. Kenneth was a carpenter for more than 40 years and enjoyed woodworking in his shop. He also was an avid cribbage player. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 70 years, Marion (Black) Farley; three daughters, Priscilla Harper of Bernard, Lucille Walton and husband, Harold, of Ellsworth, and Nancy Tracy and husband, Lee, of Bar Harbor; one sister, Phyllis Crockett of Southwest Harbor; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Hillrest Cemetery, West Tremont. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kenneth’s memory may be made to the Southwest Harbor/Tremont Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 437, Southwest Harbor, ME 04679.
